Prota, sometimes a bit of a bungler, together with his schoolmate Žole, in 1990 founded a group Škart (Scrap), in an abandon graphic atelier of the Faculty of Architecture.  Since then, already for 30 years, with numerous male and female collaborators, by way of a constant intergroup conflict, together they have been examining and blending fringe forms of poetry, architecture, graphic design, publishing, performance, music, alternative education and other things of all sorts.  In the first 10 years, collaborating with anti-war groups (Women in Black, Centre for Cultural Decontamination, B92, Cultural Centre Rex), Škart applied a strategy of street self-produced and self-giving projects: Your Shit – Your Responsibility, Survival Coupons, Sadness, Accused/Not Guilty.  In the following 10 years, the group entered a long-term process of initiating and developing new independent groups and networking. The initiatives created in 2000 continue their work even today, 20 years later: a choir HORKEŠKART (now HORKESTAR), female and male versions of New Embroideries of IMPRACTICAL WOMAN. In the third 10 years a series of new initiatives ensued: an active poetry training PESNIČENJE (POETREE), the  anti-generation collective DEFIANT PENSIONERS, puppet-animation workshops PPP (paper puppet poetry). Through its work on comics (WAR, published in late 2019) and film (DUGA RESA, underway), the group entered a new phase of investigation. Its lectures, events, works, concerts and workshops, Škart has presented throughout Europe, America and Asia. Retrospective exhibitions have been held in Rijeka, Croatia (2009), London, the UK (2010), Belgrade, Serbia (2012) and Nagoya, Japan (2013). In 2013, Škart presented the project KLACKALIŠTE (Seesaw Play-Grow) - the Ground of Imbalance at the Venice Architecture Biennale.
