
On 1 September 2021, the implementation of the project ‘They live – student lives revealed through context-based art practices’ began in Novi Sad. The project is carried out in collaboration with the Student Association of the University of Novi Sad, supported by the ’Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture’ Foundation, and within the ’Future of Europe’ programme arch, with the aim of complementing the ’Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture’official programme.
Archival training, collection and digitalization of photographic materials on student life in Novi Sad’s student campuses from 1961 to present days, along with the activities related to residential stays of an artist-curator duo,who will carry out participatory projects with current students, while incorporating into their art works the collected archive materials, will take place in the period from 1 September 2021 to 30 April 2022. The members of the artist-curator duo from Novi Sad are Bojana Knežević and Vladimir Bjeličić.
In this way, Novi Sad is joining the international project 'They: Live - student lives revealed through context-based art practices', along with Belgrade, Zagreb, Madrid, Rijeka and Podgorica, while the Student Association of the University of Novi Sad is becoming an official associate partner of the project.
